Hurricane Preparedness

Offshore Hurricane Response

As the 2018 hurricane seasons gears up, the offshore energy industry remains steadfast in its dedication and professionalism in preparing for and responding to hurricanes. Last year’s hurricane season was a top-10 most active season  and was the most expensive hurricane season in U.S. history.  Despite the ferocity of last years storms, and devastation they wrought along the Gulf Coast and in Florida, there were no reported deaths or injuries among offshore workers, no reported damage to offshore facilities and no reported spills from offshore facilities.  This is a testament to how well the offshore industry prepares for and responds to hurricanes.
