National Ocean Industries Association Welcomes Final Federal Approval of Cape Wind

Washington - Randall Luthi, President of the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) today issued the following statement on the final federal approval of the Cape Wind offshore project:

“As a nation, we need to safely develop all forms of available energy to power our homes, schools and businesses, fuel our cars, and contribute to our economic and domestic energy security today and moving into the future.  Today’s announcement is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication both in government and the private sector.  This final federal approval has been long anticipated by the offshore energy industry, and we look forward to the Cape Wind project soon becoming a productive reality that adds a large scale offshore wind arrow to our nation’s energy security quiver alongside oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear and other renewable sources.”
