Offshore industry deeply committed to safe operations

Washington, D.C. NOIA President Randall Luthi today issued the following statement in response to BOEMRE’s proposed revisions to Safety and Environmental Management Systems:

“NOIA’s members are deeply committed to the safe production of oil and natural gas in the OCS and we look forward to providing further input to BOEMRE as this rulemaking progresses. Coordination and cooperation between industry and regulators is essential to ensure that regulations reflect industry capability and effectively result in a safer offshore working environment.”
