About NOIA

The National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA), founded in 1972 with 35 members, is the only national trade association representing all facets of the offshore and related industries. Today, NOIA has nearly members located nationwide who are dedicated to accelerating the development of ocean resources for the continued growth and prosperity of the United States.

National Ocean Industries Association was founded to pursue three basic purposes:

  • To promote the common business interests of the members of the offshore and ocean-oriented industries.
  • To support legislation and other governmental action favorable to the offshore and ocean-oriented industries and to counsel against such action when it is not favorable.
  • To expand the role of the free enterprise system in the development of the ocean's resources.

NOIA membership is composed of diversely sized businesses engaged in diving, drilling, engineering, environmental safeguards, equipment manufacture and supply, finance and insurance, gas transmission, geophysical exploration, marine and air transport, navigation, offshore construction, offshore support services, petroleum production, research and technology, shipping, shipyards and telecommunications.
