David Huber

Dave Huber started work as a deepwater engineer with Exxon in 1974 after graduating with an Ocean Engineering degree. He has worked in 13 countries all with oil companies.  He spent 11 years in the North Sea for Hamilton Oil and then two years in South Africa helping that country produce their first oil.  He co-founded Mariner Energy in 1995 which had a successful IPO on the NYSE before being bought by Apache.  Mr. Huber then co-founded Deep Gulf Energy which was recently bought by Kosmos Energy.  He retired from Deepgulf in 2016 as Sr. VP Operations and Projects but stayed on the board until the recent takeover.

Recently he has taken on the position of Sr VP Business Development for a start-up deepwater company, Ocean Minerals LLC. Ocean Minerals has exploration rights for cobalt and rare earth elements in the Cook Islands in 15,000 ft water depth. Mr. Huber is also on the board of Neptune Minerals and Respinnovation, a French medical company.
