Republicans press Interior on status of offshore drilling rule

Eleven House Republicans are pressing the Interior Department for the status of long-planned rules that would toughen safety standards for subsea blowout preventers on offshore oil-and-gas rigs.
The lawmakers, all members of energy-related committees, wrote a letter Friday to Interior’s Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement.
