The NOIA ESG Excellence Award is the offshore energy industry's premier recognition of outstanding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leadership. Each year, NOIA honors member companies that go beyond compliance — demonstrating measurable impact, innovative programs, and a genuine commitment to responsible operations.
Now in its fifth year, the award has recognized trailblazers including Baker Hughes, SEACOR Marine, TechnipFMC, and Vallourec. Is your company next?
A Milestone Year: Two Categories, Two Winners
For the first time, the 2026 award recognizes ESG excellence across two distinct categories — reflecting the full breadth of the offshore energy industry:
Operators & Developers — Oil and gas operators, offshore wind developers, and ocean mineral companies whose primary business is the direct production, extraction, or development of energy or ocean resources.
Service, Supply & Support — All other NOIA member companies that enable, support, or supply the offshore energy industry, including drilling contractors, oilfield services and equipment companies, marine vessel and aviation operators, engineering and geophysical firms, manufacturers and suppliers, finance and professional services firms, law and lobbying firms, trade publications, and non-profit and research organizations.
Each category is judged separately with its own winner honored at the NOIA Fall Meeting.
Why Enter?
- Earn industry recognition: Winners are honored before peers, partners, and leaders at the NOIA Fall Meeting — one of the offshore energy industry's most prominent annual gatherings.
- Showcase your ESG leadership: Demonstrate your company's commitment to environmental performance, workforce development, and responsible governance to an audience that matters.
- Inspire the sector: Entries that advance best practices help raise the bar for the entire offshore energy industry.
- Strengthen your brand: Past winners have used the recognition to amplify their ESG story with clients, investors, regulators, and employees.
