Offshore Oil & Natural Gas Production Can Be the Energy Answer
Energy production and environmental protection are not mutually exclusive goals

Washington, D.C. - NOIA Vice President for Government & Political Affairs Tim Charters issued the following statement after Congressional Democrats announced a resolution declaring climate change to be a national emergency:

“Efforts to ‘fight climate change’ should include producing and using more American oil and natural gas. American energy is produced with a lower carbon footprint and a stronger environmental legacy than energy from other countries and has the added commitment to American workers. We can do better by using and producing our energy here at home.  Energy production and environmental protection are not mutually exclusive goals; we can do both. The Trump Administration knows this to be true, and by putting out a robust offshore energy plan that focuses on what America does best, producing energy in an ecologically and socially responsible manner, we can build an energy and environmental legacy future generations will be proud of.”
