Federal policy plays a substantial role in offshore investment and development. NOIA represents the offshore energy industry before Congress, the Administration and federal agencies on issues including offshore leasing and permitting, regulatory and tax policy, safety and environmental policy, and emerging offshore industries.
Members contribute directly to this work through NOIA committees and working groups, bringing their operational and technical expertise into policy discussions. NOIA also supports its advocacy through research, communications, coalition engagement and direct outreach to policymakers.
