Graduated from the “Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires” in 1994 with an Engineer degree, Hernan Silva began his career in Total Austral (Total Argentinean subsidiary) in 1995 as a Reservoir Engineer. In 1998 he joined the ENSPM Petroleum Economics and Management Programme (IFP). In 1999, he moved to the Reservoir Department in HQ as a Senior Reservoir Engineer in charge of Venezuela. In 2001, he was appointed as Planning Manager in Libya, position that he occupied until 2004 when he joined back the HQ for several development engineering positions. In 2008 he was appointed Head of Planning & Development for the Americas & North Africa, a position, he held until 2012 when he moved to the New Ventures & Asset Management Group. In September 2015, Hernan was appointed Business Development Director in Total Austral. Back to HQ Since April 2020, Hernan is the new Project Director of CCUS Continental Europe since then.
