NOIA is pleased to offer the following schedule of events designed specifically for the spouses and guests of NOIA members in attendance at the Fall Meeting. 

These events are offered in addition to the Golf and Tennis Tournaments and Horseback Riding and Desert Jeep tours which are also open to spouses and guests.

And, as always, spouses and guests are welcome to participate in any of the open sessions of the NOIA Fall Meeting schedule.

We look forward to having you with us in October at The Phoenician in Scottsdale.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18:

Adventures in Aromatherapy:

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

 

Nestled among 10 acres of pecan groves and organic gardens is The Farm, a lifestyle and education center designed with the senses in mind. The Farm also encompasses a retail store with an eclectic collection of vintage items to accent your life, home and garden.

 

Your journey to comfort and relaxation begins with a welcome gathering at The Cottage. Your senses will be awakened with a gallery of essential oils, and you will learn how each has its own therapeutic and restorative properties. You will touch and smell the living plants, then experience the essence of the plant’s flowers, leaves, roots and berries infused into the oils. You will then blend these oils to create a fragrance uniquely your own and infuse it into an enriching lotion, uplifting aroma mist, soothing bath soak and invigorating sugar scrub.

Note: The bus will depart the Phoenician at 10:00 a.m. and return at 2:00 p.m. Reservations are required and the cost is $195.00 (lunch is included)

 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19:

Desert Botanical Gardens

9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

 

Arizona’s Desert Botanical Garden is the only botanical garden dedicated entirely to the study of desert plant life.  Its display of over 15,000 desert plants is the finest in the world.  Experience this sanctuary with a privately guided hour long walking tour of the main trail.  Following your tour and under the guidance of a knowledgeable instructor, you will have a chance to plant a cactus or succulent dish garden in an original hand-thrown pot by celebrated local artist, Jim Sudal.  Your day will conclude with the refined pleasure of afternoon tea in the garden. 

 

Note: The bus will depart the Phoenician at 9:30 a.m. and return at 1:30 p.m There is no charge for the tour and afternoon tea, however reservations are required.

 

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20:

Home Chic Home

9:15 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

 

Scottsdale is home to a diverse blend of home furnishings with everything from classic to contemporary, ethnic to shabby chic.  The best Scottsdale retailers will roll out their red carpet for you as you tour private studios, showrooms not open to the public and charming boutiques.  Today you will travel in style as a limousine and expert shopping guide whisk you away on an exploration of unique home décor including divine accessories, stunning furniture, art and specialty items. 

 

Note: The cost for this private tour is $145.00. Reservations are required. You will depart the Phoenician at 9:15 a.m. and return to the hotel at 12:00 p.m.
