NOIA’s government affairs work is at the core of its mission to advance a dynamic, innovative, and resilient offshore energy industry. Through strategic engagement in Washington, D.C., NOIA ensures that the voices of its members are heard by key decision-makers across the executive branch, Congress, and regulatory agencies.
The NOIA Government Affairs Committee expands the association’s reach by coordinating advocacy efforts with federal, state, and regional policymakers—as well as with private sector and nonprofit allies—to promote smart, science-based offshore energy policy.
NOIA consistently delivers results by testifying before congressional committees, participating in federal forums, and maintaining strong relationships with policymakers. Recent engagements include testimony before the House Natural Resources Committee, the House Subcommittee on Energy and Mineral Resources, and the Department of the Interior’s Federal Leasing Forum, where NOIA reinforced the strategic value of offshore energy to America’s economy, energy security, and global competitiveness.
