NOIA Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Network Releases First Annual Report

Washington, D.C. – The National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) released the report, Year One: NOIA ESG Annual Report. The report highlights the work done by the NOIA Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Network and NOIA members to share and develop the best ESG practices across the offshore industry.

NOIA President Erik Milito said, “As the voice and advocate of the entire offshore energy ecosystem, NOIA has been placed in a unique position to lead on ESG issues. The level of participation within the NOIA ESG Network is a testament to how seriously our members take their commitment to being the best neighbor and investment opportunity. Companies of every type and size are solving and scaling innovative solutions for some of the world’s most pressing challenges. NOIA members play a continuous role in promoting the solutions that provide the energy vital for lifting society in an environmentally sustainable way. NOIA is proud of the work our members are doing and we are grateful that they have embraced the NOIA ESG Network help to learn, collaborate, align, and improve in their stewardship, governance and performance.”

Year One: NOIA ESG Network At-A-Glance:

• Thirty-seven companies, representing oil and natural gas producers and operators, wind producers, drilling contractors, geophysical services, marine construction, manufacturers and suppliers, the service sector, offshore service vessels and the non-profit community joined the NOIA ESG Network during its first year.
• During its first year, the NOIA ESG Network welcomed speakers from: American Association for Blacks in Energy; American Conservation Coalition; BlackRock; FTI Consulting; and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board.
• The report features company ESG highlights from Kosmos Energy, Newpark Resources, TechnipFMC, Occidental, Valaris, and Talos Energy.
• The report also links to additional summaries and reports on ESG-centric efforts from the various NOIA member companies.
