NOIA President Applauds Establishment of the Ocean Energy Safety Institute

Washington, D.C. – National Ocean Industries Association President Randall Luthi today issued the following statement on the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement’s establishment of the Ocean Energy Safety Institute:

“NOIA applauds the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement on the important step of establishing the Ocean Energy Safety Institute.  Housing the institute within a university forum has the potential to bring together the best and brightest minds in academia, government and the offshore industry in a collaborative effort to improve safety of offshore operations.  We look forward to working with OESI to understand safety gaps and identify technological improvements for the continued safe development of our offshore oil and natural gas resources.”
