NOIA Welcomes Improvements to Offshore Oil and Gas Permit Review Process
Washington, D.C. – National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) President Randall Luthi today issued the following statement on changes implemented by BOEMRE to improve the efficiency of the offshore oil and gas permit review process:
“Today’s announcement is very welcome news because much of the permitting process has been confusing and frustrating to our members, particularly in the last year. This is a great example of what can happen when industry and the regulators communicate their frustrations and suggestions with one another. Our member companies will use this new guidance to make their applications as thorough as possible, and we also stand ready to assist in making additional suggestions for further streamlining and improvements, if needed.”
