America is in the midst of an economic boom and a manufacturing renaissance because it has developed new domestic oil and gas resources. However, some argue that with oil prices so low, it makes no sense to pursue offshore Atlantic oil and natural gas. Even in the face of low prices, exploration and production companies plan for the long term, and for good reason.
