Jamie L. Vazquez is President of W&T Offshore, Inc., an independent oil and natural gas producer with operations offshore in the Gulf of Mexico for over 30 years. The Company has grown through acquisitions, exploration and development and holds working interests in approximately 54 offshore fields in the Gulf of Mexico. W&T currently has under lease approximately 900,000 gross acres offshore, including approximately 550,000 gross acres on the Gulf of Mexico Shelf and approximately 350,000 gross acres in the deepwater.
Jamie joined W&T in 1998 and was appointed President in September 2008. Her previous role was Vice President, Land. Prior to joining W&T, Ms. Vazquez was with CNG Producing Company for 17 years lastly serving as Manager, Land/Business Development Gulf of Mexico with prior experience as Onshore Land Manager.
Ms. Vazquez serves on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA). She is a Member of the National Petroleum Council (NPC), an Oil and Natural Gas Advisory Committee to the Secretary of Energy. Jamie is currently serving as a board member for the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council and is a member of their Philanthropy and Board Development Committees. She serves as an advisory board member for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and is a member of their Facility Master Plan Committee. In 2011, she was inducted into the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.
