Washington, DC — National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) President Erik Milito issued the following statement following the release of the manager's amendment to the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act, ahead of the Senate's scheduled November 9 cloture vote:
We appreciate the good-faith, bipartisan work by Senators Capito, Lee, Whitehouse, and Heinrich to move permitting reform forward. This legislation will help lower energy costs and make everyday goods and services more affordable, provide greater certainty for investment, and support jobs and economic opportunities in communities across the country. We urge the Senate to pass it without delay.
