Mr. Moran was named Vice President of Halliburton’s Government and External Affairs Office in 2014. He is responsible for Halliburton’s global government affairs activities and management of the company’s outreach to the public and industry trade press. He is a member of the Halliburton Legal Management Team. Prior to joining Halliburton as Director for Government Affairs in 2006, Bob served as Washington Representative for API from 2001 to 2005. He served as Director of Government Affairs for the NOIA from 1991 to 2001. Prior to his work at NOIA, Mr. Moran held roles in several organizations dealing with maritime policy matters, including his position as Government Relations representative for the National Fisheries Institute.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Petroleum Equipment & Services Association and is the chair of the PESA Policy Committee. He is a founding Board member of the North American Carbon Capture and Storage Association. He currently holds positions on the Board for several other prominent Washington, D.C.-based trade associations including the National Foreign Trade Council, the Executive Council of Diplomacy and the Business Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC).
In 2001, he was the recipient of the Minerals Management Service’s Corporate Leadership Award and, in 2007, received the Offshore Operators Committee Recognition Award. Moran served on the Department of Commerce’s Federal Advisory Committee on Marine Protected Areas from 2003-2006. He was recently appointed by the U.S. Departments of Energy and Commerce to serve on the U.S. - Mexico Energy Business Council.
