NOIA Urges the Timely Consideration of Kathleen Hartnett White
Washington, D.C. - National Ocean Industries Association (NOIA) President Randall Luthi issued the following statement regarding the confirmation of Kathleen Hartnett White as Chair of the Council on Environmental Quality:
“As we move into the final weeks of the year, NOIA calls on the Senate to move quickly to consider and confirm Kathleen Hartnett White as chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). The CEQ plays a vital role in developing our nation’s interpretation of the National Environmental Policy Act. A fully staffed CEQ will assist federal agencies in assuring consistent and uniform policies in 2018 and beyond. Ms. White is uniquely qualified for this position and NOIA is fully confident that she will strengthen the important link between economic growth and environmental stewardship.”
