Health, Safety, Security and Environment Committee
The Health, Safety, Security and Environment Committee helps advance NOIA's efforts related to offshore safety, security and environmental interests by addressing legislative, regulatory and administration initiatives that impact Outer Continental Shelf operations. Because of NOIA's high regard for safety, Compass Publications, Inc., publishers of Sea Technology magazine, established the National Ocean Industries Association Safety in Seas Award in 1978. The award recognizes the excellence among those who, by their actions, design or influence, have contributed to improving the safety of life offshore.
